Whirlpool to AuSable Inn Trip:

Daily: 8AM thru 2PM (launch times)	Kayak: Single:$15 Tandem: $20 Canoe: 2 People: $20 (3rd person over 7: add $5) Tube: $15 (approx. 4 hr trip from Whirlpool or 2 hr trip from 3 Pipes available)
Children under 8 can ride as a 3rd person in canoes for free

This is a leisurely 2 hour trip for the novice paddler. Leaving from the Whirlpool launch area, you will paddle approximately 6 miles along the winding, lower portion of the AuSable River. Besides the crystal clear waters along this section of the river, the careful observer can often see a variety of waterfowl as well as bald eagles. This trip ends at the AuSable Inn in Oscoda.

Rea Road to AuSable Inn Trip:

This is a nice 4 hour trip for the novice paddler. Leaving from the Rea Road launch area below Foote Dam, you will paddle the lower portion of the AuSable River all of the way into Oscoda. Besides the beautiful scenery you will be paddling through, the novice paddler will appreciate the helpful current along this stretch of the river which makes for easier paddling. This trip ends at the AuSable Inn in Oscoda.

Tawas Bay Kayaking:

Daily: 8AM thru 2PM (launch times)	Tandem Kayak: $50 (Guided Tour) $40 (2 hour rental)

Join us on beautiful Tawas Bay for a 2 hour guided trip which provides a taste of "Big Water" paddling. Leaving from the beach at the Tawas Bay Beach Resort, you will paddle across the bay to the shores near the Tawas Point Lighthouse (which overlooks Lake Huron), then back to the resort. Please note that these trips require reservations and must be paid in full prior to the trip. Call Chris at (989) 739-7222 for details!

Overnight Trips:
Prices vary, so please call Chris at (989) 739-7222 for help with trip choices and campsite locations.

There are many overnight trips available, from 7 days beginning in Grayling, to 1 night starting out from Cooke Dam. Our most popular trip is two nights starting at Five Channels Dam to Oscoda. Please note that these trips must be scheduled well beforehand. Call us for reservations!

Spotting/Shuttle Service Available!

We provide transportation for guests and their privately owned equipment to desired starting point. Rates include parking.

Age limit is up to the parents or guardian. Ask yourself whether he or she can sit in a kayak for two hours? Can they handle a kayak paddle? Would it bother them to get wet? Please consider these things before granting permission as we want kayaking to be an enjoyable experience for all of our customers!

to avoid disappointment!
