This is a leisurely 2 hour trip for the novice paddler.
Leaving from the Rea Road launch area below Foote Dam, you will be paddle approximately 6 miles along the winding, lower portion of the AuSable River.
Besides the crystal clear waters along this section of the river, the careful observer can often see a variety of waterfowl as well as bald eagles.
This trip ends at the Whirlpool pullout along River Road.

This is a nice 4 hour trip for the novice paddler.
Leaving from the Rea Road launch area below Foote Dam, you will paddle the lower portion of the AuSable River all of the way into Oscoda.
Besides the beautiful scenery you will be paddling through, the novice paddler will appreciate the helpful current along this stretch of the river which makes for easier paddling.
This trip ends at the River Road bridge in Oscoda.

This is a scenic 4 hour trip with both river and open water paddling.
Starting at Cooke Dam, you will paddle the narrow river for 2 miles.
The river then opens up into a much wider body of water known as Foote Pond where high bluffs and beautiful scenery abound.
Since this open water can be more challenging for some to paddle, kayaks are the preferred choice on this trip.

This is a scenic, 3-4 hour trip along the beautiful, high bluffs of Cooke Pond.
Whether you are a novice or experienced paddler, the views along this part of the AuSable River are sure to provide wonderful memories.
Leaving from Five Channels Dam, you will be paddling approximately 8 miles along this quiet waterway which has nesting swans, loons, eagles and much more.
You will pass Iargo Springs, a must-see Native American spiritual & healing ground with pristine, fresh-water springs.
This tour ends at Cooke Dam.

There are many overnight trips available, from 7 days beginning in Grayling, to 1 night starting out from Cooke Dam.
Our most popular trip is two nights starting at Five Channels Dam to Oscoda.
Spotting/Shuttle Service Available!
We provide transportation for guests and their privately owned equipment to desired starting point.
Rates include parking.

Age limit is up to the parents or guardian.
Ask yourself whether he or she can sit in a kayak for two hours?
Can they handle a kayak paddle?
Would it bother them to get wet?
Please consider these things before granting permission as we want kayaking to be an enjoyable experience for all of our customers!
